Sanibonani from South Africa

I am blogging from Prayer Mountain. We all made it here, and by God's grace, so did our luggage. Everything went well and smooth with customs, the flight, and the bus ride. The stars are beautiful tonight. The sky is so crisp and clear. The weather feels like fall. We are settling in to our rondavels for the night as we're 6 hours ahead of the States.

The flight was 18 hours but didn't feel that long. It's hard to say what time our bodies think it is, but adjustments are coming easy. Our team is amazing and so blessed to be here. It's surreal.

We stopped at Steers (like Burger King) on the way for some dinner and Moses (our bus driver) got us here safe and sound. Some of us are up to go for a run at 7 a.m., and we'll all meet at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast with Beth and Darryl who are our "hostesses" and were graciously here to meet us when we arrived. Thank-you for all of your prayers as God is so faithful.

We will update you tomorrow on our day. It sounds like we're taking some time to rest and enjoy this beautiful country before we start clinic on Monday. We love you all. We'll read comments soon, so leave any that you want to share.

In Christ...

  7. Praise the Lord y'all have safely gotten there to make His name famous and heal some physical pains along the way. So excited for all you...this is such an awesome opportunity for each of you and for His will for us as God's children. I pray you all are led by His guidance in words and actions as you prepare for clinic. All our love and prayers from the States as you provide generosity to those who can't repay you as a testament to His gift to us.
